YKK India's Corporate Social Responsibility program reflects the core of the Cycle of Goodness philosophy — that business growth and social good are inseparable. Since establishing in India, YKK has run consistent programs covering women empowerment, education, healthcare, and community development.
Since 2007, YKK India's in-house Vocational Training Centre has empowered rural women with Basic English, Computers, Personality Development, and Handicrafts. Several graduates now work as operators at the Bawal Plant — a testament to practical, life-changing skill building.
In 2015, YKK India renovated Jalalpur Primary School — painting, park development, furniture, and improved lighting to create better learning environments for children in the community.
Adopted and renovated "Astha Kunj" in Rewari — a shelter home providing safe housing, education support, and care for orphan children under 18. A permanent commitment to vulnerable children.
Medical support extended to nearby villages, plus donation of a vehicle to a drug addiction rehabilitation centre in 2019 — supporting community health outreach and recovery programs.
During the pandemic, YKK India distributed face masks, hand sanitizers, and soaps to underprivileged communities across the region — stepping up when communities needed it most.
Beyond community programs, YKK's biggest sustainability statement is NATULON® — zippers manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. Every NATULON® zipper represents a plastic bottle saved from a landfill, contributing to a cleaner, greener planet.
